Fractal Music

What if you took the mathematics of Chaos Theory; which is what
creates fractal graphics,
and applied those same maths to Music?
This is what we refer to as "Fractal Music"...
taking the "mathematical feedback" of fractal equations
and
rather than mapping the results to the pixels on a computer screen...
mapping the results to the many aspects
that define the sound of music.
The Results Can Be Astounding....
Since the early Greeks it has been known that many aspects
of Music are mathematical in nature
Fractals produce patterns somewhere between Order and Chaos,
Randomness and Predictability,
Much like many naturally occuring processes and structures,
Therefore - Fractal Music..........

A Note about Soundcards
Standard MIDI supports 128 different instruments, plus drums
on channel 10, usually.  Most of the midi files created using
FMusic, MusiNum, ArtSong,  Make-Prime-Music,
and the earlier ones with Gingerbread
were created while using a standard
SoundBlaster 16 or SoundBlaster PCI 64 Soundcard.
Later works are done utilizing
The Roland VSC-88H Virtual SoundCanvas
enabling the use of Roland Synthisizer soundbank variations
of many of the 128 standard midi patches
Thus giving me 546 possible instruments!
More Recently, the aquisition of a new
Roland SoundCanvas SC-88Pro Sound Module
Has enabled the use of much better MIDI effects processing.
So, unless your system has similar equipment, the MIDI files
may sound much different from what I hear....
